About VARC

A workshop built around fleets

Founded in 2023, VARC set out to give fleet operators — starting with housing associations — a repair partner that moves at the pace their maintenance teams need.

Our story

Why we started with housing associations

VARC was founded in 2023 to solve a specific problem: general garages aren't built for the pace and scale that fleet operators need. We started by focusing on housing association vehicles, where a single day off the road can mean delayed repairs for tenants, and built our workshop, mobile repair service, and recovery operation around that pace.

Housing associations remain our specialism, and make up the majority of the fleets we service today. But we work with any business running a fleet of vehicles, from independent operators to national companies — and our mobile repair and recovery services cover the whole of the UK, not just Greater Manchester.

Our values

Straight answers

Clear quotes, honest timeframes, and no surprise charges on the final invoice.

Built for accounts, not just vehicles

Reporting and billing designed around how fleet procurement actually works, with housing association experience built in.

Minimise downtime

Every day off the road is a day of delayed jobs for whoever relies on that vehicle, so speed matters — wherever you're based in the UK.

Do it once, do it right

Repairs completed to a standard that holds up, not just to pass a test.
